Toronto has a lot of cyclists and a lot of bike-related events. Bike Events TO aims to make keeping on top of things a little easier by providing a full listing of all bike related events on one site.

This new site is a collaboration of the Toronto Cyclists Union, Community Bicycle Network and I Bike T.O. It is brand new and under development over the colder months. This calendar is aiming to be a common cycling calendar where every group can post their events. Events must be cycling-specific, non-commercial, and open to the public.

Surf over to http://BikeEvents.TO to check out all the latest listings. You can also subscribe to the RSS news feed, or Follow events via the Twitter feed - twitter.com/bikeeventsto.

In order to have all the latest bike related events on your own site, you can embed a "widget" of the events feed into your site or blog. Check out an example of how this will look at http://bikeunion.to/calendar or http://communitybicyclenetwork.org (the widget info is found on the site - it is a fairly simple procedure, but please get in touch if you need a hand)

Other sites will also be able to embed mini-calendars, or get news feeds from this calendar so as to reduce duplication. You can get a sample "widget" by copying the snippet below the calendar and pasting in your website. Or you can also use this RSS news feed
