Scooter Style E-bike Survey Results

e-bikee-bikeOver a 10 day period, 555 Torontonians completed our very simple opinion survey regarding the somewhat controvertial scooter style e-bikes (pictured) that have recently been added to the provincial definition of 'bicycle' via the broad definition of 'power-assisted bicycle'

In short...the survey results show that the bike union's position is indeed a reflection of the opinion of the majority of respondents.

Cycle Toronto Releases Branding RFP

The membership of the Toronto Cyclists Union has approved a name change to Cycle Toronto and our renamed organization seeks assistance with the creation and implementation of the Cycle Toronto brand across our existing marketing assets. Cycle Toronto has a major opportunity to launch this new branding loudly during Bike Month, which we are running in conjunction with the City of Toronto.

Cycle Toronto, Board Election Results and Annual General Meeting Recap

On Wednesday, May 2, the Toronto Cyclists Union held its Annual General Meeting in the basement of the CSI Annex Building. With over 200 members in attendance, the bike union voted on a new name, held board elections and reflected on the past year.  Fair Vote Canada oversaw the vote to ensure a fair and transparent process.

Toronto Cyclists Union Releases New Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles & Goals

Thanks to the work of more than 20 core Strategic Planning Design Team members and the input of 80 participants at our January 2012 Strategic Planning Summit, we're pleased to release our organization's new Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles and Goals, approved by the bike union's Board of Directors in April 2012. 

Mission: The Toronto Cyclists Union is a diverse member-supported organization that advocates for a healthy, safe, cycling-friendly city for all.
