Fight Bike Theft! Register/Report/Check

Register

Register your bicycle online in 5 minutes at the Toronto Police Bicycle Registry. More details here or watch this brief video.

Why

Because if your bicycle is stolen, you can report it even if you don't remember the serial number. Still not convinced? Check out more reasons here.

Report

If your bicycle is stolen, report it to the Toronto Police. To report a theft in Toronto, use the TPS Online Crime Reporting tool or call (416) 808-2222 and press 0 between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Find more information here.

Why

If your stolen bicycle is found, you can be identified as the rightful owner and have it returned to you. Reporting theft also helps reduce theft. Read more on reporting here.

Check

Before you buy a used bicycle, first check its serial number at isthisbikestolen.com. Get more details here.

Why

Buying stolen property is illegal. This can deter thieves by making it harder for them to sell stolen bicycles.

Wouldn't you want someone to do the same for you? Learn more about bicycle theft and registration here or watch this brief video on how to avoid buying a stolen bike.
